Permanent placements rose at the fastest rate for six months in January 2011. Latest figures have been very encouraging, showing that employers across all sectors have been expanding their permanent workforce in January.

Average salaries for permanent staff continued to rise in January.
Key permanent staff skills reported in short supply: ACA qualified staff, Managers, Consultants, HR & PR staff, Marketing Professionals, Engineers, Business Analysts, CAD Operators, Secretaries & Sales Professionals

Temp billings rose at the strongest rate for seven months. Billings received by agencies from the employment of temporary/contract staff rose at a sharper rate in January. The latest increase was the fastest since June.
Key temporary skills reported in short supply: Purchase Ledger, HR Staff, Engineers, Chefs, Oil & Gas Staff
